3 New ESE Features Everyone Should Know

By | Articles | No Comments

We’ve spent the last week testing and ironing out a few bugs in our new “membership access” feature. You can now create new membership groups in addition to the default groups in ESE, which are: anonymous, network and standard. So what does this mean? What am I supposed to do with three different groups? Well, you can tease and preview premium content to your visitors and get them to sign up and pay for exclusive members only content! Training materials are being produced, but in the meantime, if you are interested in creating a fan club or pay group contact us for a one on one virtual training session.

You will also notice a new WYSIWYG editor. We were having too many issues with our old editor so we upgraded to a pay based editor with more features. No extra cost to you!

We have also streamlined our carousel feature for branded images. You’re now able to upload links and content on your branded images and add them to site settings or site pages. Then sit back and watch your branded images rotate. Be sure to make them the same size, or else the CMS will take the largest of them and scale the other images to that size.

Coming Soon: We’ll be working on VOD pay per view testing and making sure membership access is working correctly. We will also be testing widget groups and making some training materials/tutorials for that as well.

WCTV19 Honored at State Capitol

By | News | No Comments

The Whitney High School Broadcast program was presented a Resolution, by Assemblywoman Beth Gaines, on May 8, 2014.  The News, Productions, and Sports students sat in gallery during the Assembly session, as Assemblywoman Gaines introduced them to the lawmakers.

After the session ended, Assemblywoman Gaines brought the students down onto the Assembly floor, presented the staff with a Resolution, and a certificate of accomplishment. Gaines told our reporter that this was the first Resolution given to a Broadcast program.  Also, it was the first time a school from the Rocklin Unified School District was given this honor, at the State Capitol.

White County High School uses US EducationTV Network in a Unique Way

By | News | No Comments

The Warrior Audio/Video/ Film Department of White County High School and the crew from WTVN-Warrior TV utilized the US Education TV network in unique way to help one of our students.

A White County High school student was diagnosed with treatable form of cancer and her prognosis would be good if she was immediately hospitalized and underwent extensive treatment. She was then admitted into a Atlanta Hospital 68 miles away from our school and began undergoing extensive cancer treatment. The student, a senior, was enrolled in AP Chemistry and another AP Academic classes and her absence could of greatly affected her academic standing and her future college plans.   WTVN–Warrior TV decided to use the US Education TV platform in a unique way, by broadcasting the students AP Chemistry classes live so the she could continue to stay academically involved in the classes while undergoing medical treatment at the Atlanta Children’s Hospital.

Because of this unique use of the US Education TV platform, our student was able to not miss a beat in her academics classes.  That’s will allow her to continue to stay on course for her college career.

Thank you US Education TV for providing us with the platform and the ability to stream to our audiences across the world.  This just added to the 80-150 live events we currently broadcast here at White County.  This also shows that US Education TV is the proven leader when it comes to broadcasting and student television.
